| For 2-4 weeks, exposure to sunlight, sea and pool should be refrained from. During the first week, external contacts should be avoided and the patient must sleep without having contact to the application area and not scratch the area. Sports and heavy activities should also be refrained from. Starting with two days before the operation: Alcohol, aspirine and flu medicine must not be taken! Before the operation, no lotion which could affect hair and skin with hair must be used. Any regularly used medication for heart, blood pressure, diabetes and stomach problems must be stated to the doctor prior to the operation. Following FUE operation, pain does not occur even during the first day and no medication is needed. During the day of transplantation, you can sleep in any position you can want. Tightness and numbnes doesn’t occur in the neck and because no nerve and vein is cut, permanent scars and numbness does not occur. Depending on the number of graft transplanted, operation takes around 6 to 8 hours. Depending on the patient, one or two sessions might be required. The area starts to healing within the same day. Within the first month, some of the hair around the transplanted hair roots might fall, this is a natural occurence. New hair starting to grow after 2-3 month will reach a normal look after sixth month. In some areas, the hair might take longer to reach a normal look.
